A blog can be placed on your website or an external blog site. On your website, blogging can be a good way to keep your website up to date with fresh content that will attract repeat visitors, without having to make significant changes to the main format. An external blog site can be a great option for a specific strand or sideline of your business that doesn’t easily sit with your other website content, or needs more regular updates. For some types of business, it can even be a better option to have a blog site in place of a standard website.
When you choose a topic for your blog post make sure that it is relevant to your business. It is a bit like having your own regular newspaper article where you might; discuss a current issue and your perspective on the impact, share key learning points from an event you have attended, or give more detail on any valuable content than is possible on other social media sites.
